  • Recent graduates have gone on to the University of Maryland at College Park, Susquehanna, Perdue, Colorado State, and Temple.
  • Leslie Micciche Granger, who earned a Master's Degree in Music and Clarinet Performance with Charles when he taught at Catholic University, has just been named the head of Fundraising and Marketing for the newly resurrected New York City Opera (a position formerly held by the great opera diva Beverly Sills). CONGRATULATIONS LESLIE! As of 2017, Leslie was named President and CEO of Bidawee. Finding loving homes for rescued animals since 1903, Bideawee’s mission is to create and strengthen the human-animal bond through best-in-class lifesaving and compassionate care for pets and the people who love them.
  • Eavan Ring is on her way to the University of Maryland and Michael Steimer to the University of South Carolina for Fall 2016.
  • Will Teugel, a former Cherry Valley Music student contacted us from Hollywood, CA where he is designing video games professionally. He said, "I still play piano for fun and music studies have helped me in designing theme songs for my games."

  • Elizabeth Pelletier has been awarded a Fulbright post-graduate research grant to the University of Toronto in 2015.

  • Ted Albano was awarded the 2013 Coleman Mellett Scholarship at DeMatha High School as the outstanding music student in his school.
  • Congratulations to Andrew Vu -- former Cherry Valley Music Associate Teacher of Piano -- for winning 2nd Prize in the 2012 J.S. Bach International Online Piano Recording Competition. BRAVO!
  • 2012 Congratulations and Bon Voyage to Jeremy Parel -- Cherry Valley Music student of composition, theory, conducting, piano and flute as he enters his freshman year at Shenandoah College and Conservatory of Music as a composition major.
  • 2012's Rosa Parks Awards Ceremony "looked like the parade of the Cherry Valley Music Students!" reports a parent.
  • Mariella S. received the 2012 Outstanding Achievement Awards in Honors English, US History and Science and was "all A" for three years in middle school.
  • Nikolas K. received the 2012 President's Education Award, the Outstanding Achievement Award for Computer Applications and Honor Roll.
  • J.P., piano/composition, Class of 2012, accepted to Shenandoah College and Conservatory of Music

  • T.A., piano and percussion, won the Archdiocese scholarship and received the "John H. Mitchell Founder's Scholarship for Musical Excellence" plaque. April 2011.
